The Central Bank of the Republic of China announced the issuance on 1 June 2025 of a two-coin gold and silver commemorative set marking the 100th anniversary of the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, with both coins designated as legal tender. Both coins carry the national emblem on the obverse, with the country name and year. The set comprises an 8 gram round gold proof coin (CNY 100 denomination, 22 mm diameter, 99.9% fineness) with a maximum mintage of 10,000, and a 30 gram round silver proof coin (CNY 10 denomination, 40 mm diameter, 99.9% fineness) with a maximum mintage of 20,000; the reverse designs feature the university’s centenary logo and campus-themed elements respectively, alongside Chinese and English inscriptions. Production will be undertaken by Shenyang Mint Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Guobao Mint Co., Ltd., with China Gold Coin Group Co., Ltd. acting as the general distributor; sales-channel details are to be provided via China Gold Coin’s official website and WeChat account.
