Argentina’s Superintendency of Insurance (SSN), represented by Superintendent Guillermo Plate, joined Economy Minister Luis Caputo in a meeting with insurance company representatives at the Palacio de Hacienda focused on proposals to support insurance-sector growth and to continue strengthening Argentina’s capital markets. Discussions covered industry proposals and the evolution of the government’s economic programme. Plate emphasised closer public-private coordination to develop the insurance industry and support an efficient market. Caputo stated that the government is willing to evaluate proposals to incentivise insurance growth and highlighted the importance of financial education, particularly for younger people; he also reaffirmed that the “fiscal anchor” would not be changed and that there would be no changes in monetary or foreign exchange policy, while pointing to a normalisation of liquidity and interest rates. The minister additionally referenced the planned creation of a National Political Table after the elections to improve internal government coordination and a Federal Dialogue Table to engage provinces on reforms.
