Thailand Securities & Exchange Commission announced a collaboration with Meta Platforms, Inc. and Facebook Thailand to run training activities aimed at helping businesses and capital market organizations protect brand assets and intellectual property rights, including against brand impersonation and related online threats. The programme covered Meta community standards and practical strategies for brand and page protection, including use of Meta’s Brand Rights Protection tool to identify and report copyright and trademark infringements and business impersonation, and Meta Verified registration to authenticate genuine accounts or pages. The initiative was positioned within the SEC Strategic Plan for 2025–2027 priority of investor protection through stronger public-private cooperation to block investment fraud channels, and included a discussion on intellectual property threats and solutions with representatives from the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations, Thailand’s Technology Crime Suppression Division, and Facebook Thailand.
