Brazil’s Pension Funds Authority (PREVIC) published the list of winners and three honourable mentions for the 9th PREVIC Monograph Prize, naming first- and second-place authors in three thematic categories covering member communications and service, benefit plan solvency, and governance and leadership. The competition received 39 submissions, up 18% from the prior edition, with the largest share in “Governance and Leadership” (18), followed by “Communication and Service to Participants and Beneficiaries” (14) and “Solvency of Benefit Plans” (7). PREVIC’s Board of Directors homologated the results on 30 September based on the judging commission’s decision of 29 September, using blind review with pseudonyms and assessment criteria focused on relevance, technical quality and applicability. Total prizes amount to BRL 45,000, with BRL 10,000 for each category winner and BRL 5,000 for each runner-up; the honourable mentions recognised works on ESG integration, expanding women’s leadership, and simplifying language in the sector. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 23 October in São Paulo during the 46th Brazilian Private Pension Congress, and the winning and honourably mentioned papers will be published on PREVIC’s and Abrapp’s websites.
