The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo published commercial bank statistics for April 2026 showing a mixed monthly picture. Gross loans increased by EUR 103.30 million, or 1.51%, to EUR 6.96 billion, while total assets fell by about EUR 19.29 million to EUR 9.76 billion and client deposits declined by about EUR 23.75 million to EUR 7.84 billion. New lending during April totaled EUR 235.72 million and the average interest rate on new loans was 6.88%. New deposits accepted during the month amounted to EUR 119.41 million, with an average rate of 3.29%, leaving the loan-deposit interest margin at 3.60% and the loan-to-deposit ratio at 88.71%. Total commercial bank capital stood at EUR 1.15 billion at end-April, while loan provisions increased by 1.51% from the previous month to EUR 161.04 million.
