Argentina’s Securities Commission (CNV) president Roberto E. Silva spoke at the 15th Argentina Real Estate Development and Investment Congress and Expo Real Estate Argentina in Buenos Aires, outlining the regulatory framework CNV is advancing to support new real estate investment and development models through the capital markets, with a focus on its tokenization regime. Speaking on a panel on tokenization and the new CNV-approved regime, Silva described the tokenization framework as a milestone for Argentina’s capital markets and said it is structured in two parts. The first part is already in force and covers tokenization for real world assets and unlisted negotiable securities, while a second stage is expected to be issued soon to complete the framework by including tokenized securities. Silva indicated that the forthcoming second stage will expand the regime’s scope to cover tokenized securities.
