The European Systemic Risk Board has launched a call for expressions of interest from international experts in macroprudential policy and systemic risk to join its Advisory Scientific Committee. Successful candidates will be appointed by the ESRB General Board for a renewable four-year mandate starting by May 2027. The committee advises and assists the ESRB at the request of its Chair or General Board. Appointments will be based on candidates' general competence and breadth of experience in academia or other sectors, including small and medium-sized enterprises, trade unions, and providers or consumers of financial services. Employees of institutions represented on the General Board, including national supervisory authorities, national central banks and European authorities, are not eligible. Members must comply with professional secrecy and confidentiality rules and will receive indemnities and reimbursement of expenses. Applications close on 10 June 2026, and candidates who are neither appointed nor rejected will be placed on a reserve list valid for two years.
