The Superintendency of Banks of the Dominican Republic, through its User Services and Protection Office (ProUsuario), launched a series of financial education talks and outreach activities as part of the Central Bank’s Economic and Financial Week and the Global Money Week campaign, running from 17 to 21 March at the Central Bank’s premises. The programme includes talks delivered by ProUsuario’s Financial Education team, the distribution of educational materials, and interactive activities aimed at encouraging informed financial decision-making among young people. Materials include a basic finance guide for young people entering the workforce, which is also available via ProUsuario’s website. The wider event is open to the public and features stands, workshops, talks and games on saving, investing, financial products and healthy personal finance, and will extend for the first time beyond Santo Domingo and Santiago to Centro Perelló in Peravia province. Further ProUsuario talks are scheduled for 19 March at 10:30 and 15:00 in the Américo Lugo hall at the Central Bank.
