The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority has published standards governing the registration of fund and society administrators, the form of registration certificates, and applications to cancel or vary registration. The standards took effect upon their publication in the Government Gazette on April 30, 2026. Registration applicants must use the prescribed forms and provide supporting information on ownership, governance, fit and proper status, related-party relationships, risk management, internal controls and outsourcing arrangements. Applications must generally be filed through the authority’s Electronic Regulatory System, and applicants ordinarily have seven days to remedy incomplete submissions. Registered administrators seeking cancellation or a variation must notify the authority, address outstanding contractual obligations and liabilities, and obtain prior written approval before winding up or ceasing administration services.
