The Insurance Supervision Institute of Mozambique (ISSM, IP) participated in the 60th Maputo International Fair (FACIM 2025), using the event to promote insurance and pensions awareness and to present the Bank Supervision Application, a web-based supervisory platform adapted from banking supervision for use in the insurance sector and aligned with the National Financial Inclusion Strategy. During the opening on 25 August 2025, President Daniel Francisco Chapo visited the ISSM stand and acknowledged the institution’s performance. ISSM Board Chair Ester dos Santos José also used the fair to encourage staff to strengthen consumer financial education on the institute’s role, channels for service and supervision, and the use of technology. As part of the programme, ISSM delivered a talk on the importance of insurance and pensions to students from Gwaza Mutine Secondary School and the Gwaza Mutine Higher Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship.
