The National Bank of Moldova announced a programme of activities for pupils and university students to mark International Financial Education Week (Global Money Week) from 17 to 23 March 2025. The week is structured around sessions, training workshops and seminars, with discussions on monetary policy decision-making, the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), how to use payment cards safely for online payments, the euro as a reference currency, and other topics relevant to young consumers. Planned highlights include the launch of a women’s leadership project featuring dialogue with internationally recognised figures, and guided visits to the bank’s exhibition hall, including the display of a historic press provided by Romania’s State Mint for the National Bank’s museum. Participation requires prior registration, with groups limited to 35 people aged over 9; school groups must be accompanied by a designated adult responsible for minors. The bank set a submission deadline of 14 March 2024 for participation requests.
