The Rwanda Capital Markets Authority participated in the Itorero Imbuto Zitoshye programme and encouraged young people to pursue financial empowerment by engaging in Rwanda’s capital market. Speaking at the Imbuto Foundation initiative, the Authority’s Head of Corporate Services, Josephine Mbabazi, positioned capital market participation as a route to long-term financial independence and stressed the role of financial literacy and investment awareness. The outreach highlighted practical entry points for youth investors, including government bonds, equities and collective investment schemes, with an emphasis on the benefits of starting to invest early. The programme aims to build civic responsibility and leadership among youth and partnered with institutions including the Rwanda Capital Markets Authority to provide knowledge and tools supporting economic self-reliance.
