The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has published Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first interactive dashboard of gender-disaggregated financial data, enabling an overview of small and medium-sized enterprise lending and deposit activity by gender ownership structure. Developed under the global Women Entrepreneurs Finance Support Initiative (WE Finance Code), the dashboard is initially based on data from four commercial banks and one microcredit organisation. It contains more than 30 indicators, including indicators on the deposit structure of the SME sector, and is positioned as a tool to identify financing gaps and trends and to support more targeted financial product offerings for women-owned enterprises. The central bank framed the dashboard’s launch as a step toward establishing a comprehensive national system of gender-disaggregated financial data, with an expectation that additional banks and microcredit organisations will be incorporated over time.
