The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) and the Ministry of Finance announced that Chinese regulators have authorised the listing in Shanghai and Shenzhen of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that invest in units of Ibovespa ETFs, under the Brazil–China ETF Connect programme. ETF Connect provides a mechanism for reciprocal ETF listings between B3 – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão and the Chinese exchanges. Officially launched on 26 May 2025, the programme began with Bradesco Asset ETFs and later Itaú Asset ETFs tracking the Chinese CSI 300 and ChiNext indices listed on B3. The new phase will see Chinese managers EFunds, China Universal and China Asset Management list ETFs referenced to the Brazilian Ibovespa B3 index.
