The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (BQK) has launched an online platform for comparing standardized financial products and services, aimed at improving consumer transparency and enabling users to compare offerings across the market. The platform includes data from 50 financial institutions, covering banks, microfinance institutions, non-bank financial institutions and insurance companies. It spans 17 product categories broken down into 60 sub-products and 203 detailed segments, with more than 10,000 data points for comparison, and is available in Albanian, Serbian and English through BQK’s website. BQK has also prepared explanatory materials, including video guides, a financial terms glossary and an FAQ section. Under a BQK-approved regulation and related implementation guidance, financial institutions are legally required to report and update their product and service data on the platform and ensure it accurately reflects their officially published fees. The platform will operate in a testing phase until end-2025 to align with technical and regulatory requirements.
