The U.S. Department of the Treasury has recognized the start of National Financial Literacy Month and said it will coordinate with federal agencies represented on the Financial Literacy and Education Commission to announce and spotlight events, initiatives and public engagement opportunities throughout April. Treasury directed Americans to MyMoney.gov for consolidated federal guidance and educational tools to support financial decision-making, including saving, investing and planning for milestones such as education, homeownership and retirement. The department also pointed to MyMoney.gov for information on financial literacy activities, including upcoming changes to the National Strategy for Financial Literacy.
