Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) issued rules establishing a special regime for the public offering of mortgage financial trusts, covering vehicles backed by mortgages, mortgage notes, mortgage loans or similar instruments, to streamline securitisation and placement in Argentina’s capital markets in line with Decree No. 1017/2024. The regime allows the dissemination period to be reduced to one day when an offer is directed to qualified investors, compared with three days under the general regime. It also permits a placement to be reopened for up to two years from the original issuance to sell any unplaced portion of the authorised amount, and enables the issue of additional trust securities through automatic public offering without additional procedures, options not available under the general regime. CNV noted that Decree No. 1017/2024 also tasked it with authorising entities to register property purchase-sale agreements nationwide, which it previously addressed through General Resolution No. 1043.
