Argentina’s Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its chair, Roberto E. Silva, and vice chair, Sonia Salvatierra, attended the first soybean auction of the 2025/26 season at the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR), framing the event as part of its engagement with the productive sector and efforts to expand capital markets outside Buenos Aires. During the visit, they also held meetings with A3 Mercados and the Argentine Securities Market (MAV) on regulatory and market-development priorities. Discussions with A3 Mercados and MAV covered the CNV board’s push for innovative rules alongside a broader deregulation, simplification and streamlining process, as well as potential instruments to strengthen agroindustry financing through the capital market. The BCR event brought together provincial and national officials, public-sector representatives, agroindustry participants and grain market operators; the first soybean lot auctioned was produced by Santa Cecilia on a 630-hectare farm in Subteniente Perín, Formosa, and the transaction was conducted by Ariel Ojeda with Cooperativa Guillermo Lehmann acting as consignatary.
