The Superintendency of Banks of Panama held a training session for the banking sector on updates to compliance reporting, focusing on new structures and data quality challenges. The session covered changes to the RE01, PB01 and PB02 reporting frameworks intended to standardise submissions, strengthen data quality and improve supervisory effectiveness in relation to money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing risks. A total of 85 representatives from banks attended and received technical and practical guidance on the new requirements and on managing compliance data and reporting challenges. The session was led by the SBP’s Coordinator for Prevention and Data Analysis, Yodalys Gómez, who provided operational guidance to support firms’ adaptation to the updated reporting structures.
