The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported that national experts and Eurasian Group assessors held a virtual meeting as part of the country’s third mutual evaluation of its anti-money laundering, counterterrorist financing and counter-proliferation financing framework. The meeting advances an evaluation process that has recently included further risk assessments and measures to address identified vulnerabilities. Tajikistan’s experts presented the results of national and sectoral risk assessments and discussed the nature and drivers of identified risks with the assessors. The review also examined different sectors of the economy and their roles in the national framework. The evaluation will continue through 2027, covering technical compliance and effectiveness, meetings and an on-site visit, followed by consideration and approval of the final report at a Eurasian Group plenary meeting.
