The State Bank of Vietnam published a report on the closing session of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, including the congress’s approval of its resolution and the unanimous election of To Lam to continue as General Secretary of the 14th Party Central Committee. The closing session took place at the National Convention Center in Hanoi and was presided over by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on behalf of the Presidium. The session also marked recognition of members of the 13th Party Central Committee who did not stand for re-election, and included a closing speech by To Lam calling on agencies, organisations and individuals to implement the congress resolution through specific tasks.
