The Central Bank of Slovenia has outlined Governor Primož Dolenc’s participation in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Bangkok from Oct. 12 to 18. As Slovenia’s governor on the IMF Board of Governors, Dolenc will attend the International Monetary and Financial Committee meeting, where discussions will address global macroeconomic imbalances, climate related risks and updates to regulatory and supervisory frameworks arising from artificial intelligence and expanding digital finance. The agenda builds on structural issues considered at the committee’s spring meeting and will also cover support for vulnerable and low income countries, including the long term sustainability of the Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust and the adequacy of IMF resources. Other priorities include global debt vulnerabilities, the IMF’s Global Policy Agenda and further work under the 17th General Review of Quotas. Dolenc and other Slovenian delegates will also participate in multilateral and bilateral meetings.
