The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has completed the first course in its national training program for state-owned companies preparing to list and conduct public offerings on the Egyptian Exchange. The course advances the authority’s support for the government offerings program by focusing on practical readiness from temporary listing through final listing and offering, as well as companies’ continuing obligations to the market and investors. The program trained 118 participants from 34 temporarily listed companies and companies targeted for the next listing phase, along with the State-Owned Companies and Public Offerings Unit. Training covered governance, disclosure, transparency, offering requirements and the responsibilities of boards, executive management and finance teams. All participants who took the final assessment passed. The authority emphasized that readiness requires more than meeting initial listing conditions, particularly timely disclosure of material information and sustained governance standards after admission. The Financial Services Institute and the Egyptian Directors Center, the authority’s training arms, will further develop the practical content and extend the program to additional state-owned companies targeted for offerings.
