The Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP) has launched The Governors Speak, a three-volume book series compiling selected speeches from the country’s central bank governors to document the evolution of central banking in the Philippines and the institution’s role during key moments in the economy. The series is organised into Volume I on early governance and pioneering efforts featuring speeches of the seven governors of the former Central Bank of the Philippines, Volume II on transformative leadership (1993–2017) with speeches of the first four BSP governors, and Volume III on current initiatives and forward-thinking (2017 to present) with speeches from 2017 onwards. BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. used the launch to underline the importance of clear, credible and timely communication in central banking; former governors Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., Amando M. Tetangco, Jr., and Benjamin E. Diokno attended, and a digital version is available on the BSP website.
