The Qatar Financial Centre has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy to strengthen cooperation on talent development and close the gap between academic study and industry practice in Qatar's financial sector. The agreement creates a framework for initiatives aimed at students and young professionals, with QFC set to offer internship opportunities to QFBA's Northumbria University students to provide practical experience and potential pathways into employment. The partnership also covers lectures, seminars, workshops, career fairs and other academic and professional events intended to support knowledge exchange between industry and academia. In addition, the two organizations will collaborate on the Takween Excellence Award Programme, which supports high-performing Qatari undergraduate students in disciplines seen as important to the development of Qatar's financial sector and wider economy. QFC also said the arrangement will broaden training and development opportunities for firms in the centre.
