The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority has unveiled the 2026 series of circulating coins, which will feature King Charles III on the obverse for the first time. The four denominations, 25 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents and 1 cent, will begin entering circulation in the coming weeks. The coins retain the existing weights, dimensions, metallic alloys and reverse designs. Coins featuring Queen Elizabeth II will remain legal tender and are expected to circulate alongside the new series for the foreseeable future. The authority will announce the official release date separately, while a limited edition collector’s set will be available later in 2026.
