The Algeria Market Authority announced the installation of new members of its commission, appointed for four-year terms on the basis of their expertise and experience in finance and the capital market. The changes include representatives of the ministers of finance, justice, and higher education and scientific research, as well as a representative of the governor of the Bank of Algeria. The mandates of the representative of the National Order of Chartered Accountants and the representative of executives of legal entities issuing securities were also renewed. The commission is made up of a president and six members. It is responsible for examining cases and taking the related decisions in line with the applicable legal and regulatory framework, with the authority linking the refreshed membership to its role in supporting transparency and efficiency in the financial market.
