The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, together with Conservation X Labs and the United Nations Development Programme, announced Dunya Analytics, Mozaic Earth and Space Eagle Enterprises as the winners of the Nature Intelligence for Business Grand Challenge. The initiative, launched in 2025, aims to catalyse practical, affordable tools aligned with TNFD’s LEAP assessment approach and metrics so small and medium sized enterprises can better understand and manage nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities. Dunya Analytics is developing a platform to help customers identify nature-associated vulnerabilities and prioritise investments. Mozaic Earth is building a platform that allows SMEs to collect data with smartphones and produce site-level ecosystem condition analysis. Space Eagle Enterprises develops broadband connectivity and next-generation Earth observation intelligence products for governments, enterprises and communities across Africa. The three winners were selected from 12 finalists and more than 380 applicants after a two-month testing and performance evaluation phase in which each finalist worked with two SMEs on preliminary LEAP-aligned nature assessments, with more than 20 SMEs across 13 countries involved in testing. Each winner will receive a USD 20,000 solution grant. Organisers, partners and the Advisory Group will continue working with the winners and other promising finalists in the coming months to provide technical support and advisory services and identify funding and piloting opportunities to expand SME access to nature intelligence tools.
