The Vietnam State Securities Commission reported that its Scientific Research and Securities Training Center (SRTC) branch in Ho Chi Minh City held the “Be Friends with Investing” training programme for individual investors, aimed at strengthening securities knowledge, analytical skills and risk awareness. The programme attracted participants from Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas and included contributions from SRTC and Dragon Capital Vietnam Investment Fund Management JSC. Content covered an overview of the securities market, products such as open-end funds and ETFs and indirect investing through funds, as well as guidance on identifying and avoiding increasingly sophisticated investment fraud and misconduct. SRTC also awarded two scholarships for its course on the fundamentals of securities and the securities market to two outstanding participants. SRTC plans to continue working with reputable financial institutions to deliver additional investor training programmes.
