The Dominican Republic Superintendence of the Securities Market (SIMV), through its Investor Protection and Education Department (ProInversionista), presented the children’s storybook “Little Investors, Volume I: Mateo discovers how to grow his savings” to introduce basic capital markets concepts to children. The launch took place as part of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic’s Economic and Financial Week 2026, held 16–20 March, within the Aula Central economic and financial education programme and aligned with the Global Money Week initiative. The story follows Mateo learning saving habits after attending SIMV’s “Discovering the securities market” talk and highlights opening a brokerage account and beginning to invest, noting that children can participate when accompanied by parents or guardians.
