Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority has approved four companies to conduct nonbank financial activities through fintech, expanding digital channels across microfinance, consumer and mortgage finance, investment fund transactions, and private capital markets. As-hal Financial for Microfinance received a license to provide microfinance through fintech, while Manzel for Consumer Finance and Mortgage Finance obtained final licenses for both of its activities. Menthum Holding for Financial Investments was approved to receive subscriptions in investment fund units and process purchases and redemptions of units in licensed open ended funds through fintech. Azimut Investments Egypt was authorized to establish a digital platform for private equity and venture capital funds.
