The Vietnam State Securities Commission held a training course for its officials and staff on governance of non-traditional security and governance of securities market security, in cooperation with the Institute for Non-traditional Security at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The programme focused on risks to securities market safety linked to non-traditional security challenges, including transnational and high-tech crime, as well as cyber security in market operations. The Commission’s Deputy Chairman, Ha Duy Tung, highlighted the need to strengthen security and safety arrangements as the market develops and as national digital transformation accelerates, with the course intended to enhance management and supervisory capabilities in line with international standards. Sessions covered an overview of non-traditional security and related governance issues for the securities sector, securities security and security assurance in the context of securities market upgrading, and practical response scenarios and risk prevention measures, delivered by senior experts from the Institute.
