The Angola Capital Markets Commission held a clarification session for senior representatives of Angola’s main media outlets on the Commission’s Information Dissemination System (SDI), focusing on how the platform supports the publication of information relevant to investors in securities admitted to trading on a regulated market. CMC staff described the SDI as a public digital platform designed to receive, organise and ensure equitable and timely disclosure of issuer information required under the Securities Code, including inside information, managers’ transactions, disposal of own shares, coupon and dividend payments, qualifying holdings and financial reporting documents. Discussion with participants covered reporting deadlines, the definition of inside information and the media’s role in amplifying disclosures, while clarifying that the SDI is a dissemination mechanism that does not bind the CMC and that issuers remain fully responsible for the content they publish. A live demonstration on the CMC website walked through the end-to-end publication flow from issuer submission to notification and public release, alongside the legal content-quality criteria to be observed. The CMC positioned the SDI as the main official channel for accessing information on Angola’s capital markets and called for continued cooperation between the Commission, issuers and the media.
