Under the strengthened screening, Security Services Department personnel may inspect an armored vehicle’s vault compartment during entry checks and may also inspect the vehicle underchassis to identify concealed hazards. During exit screening, personnel may be required to open the vault compartment again to verify that BSP or bank property is not being removed without proper authorization. AABs are directed to keep the interior of armored vehicles free of obstructions that could impede opening of the vault compartment to avoid delays and possible denial of entry.
