The World Bank Group has appointed Diletta Doretti as country manager for El Salvador, unifying its in-country leadership across the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Finance Corporation and Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. She will oversee an integrated approach to mobilizing financing, expertise and private investment in support of public and private sector priorities. Doretti previously served as World Bank Group representative for Guyana and Suriname. The group’s active public sector portfolio in El Salvador totals USD 2.4 billion, while the International Finance Corporation has approximately USD 400 million committed to private sector development in the country.
