The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) conducted a working visit to the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Oesterreichische Nationalbank to review modern cash management standards and exchange expertise on central bank cash circulation operations. The delegation, led by Vice Governor Ekaterine Galdava and including Board Members Teimuraz Khomeriki and Nana Keinishvili alongside Cash Operations and Currency Circulation Department representatives, discussed banknote production and destruction, cash processing, and recirculation. The programme also included a visit to the Austrian National Bank’s cash centre to observe cash processing and management practices, with the meetings positioned as a platform for sharing international best practices and strengthening cooperation in cash management.
