The Council of Europe announced that its MONEYVAL body and the Financial Action Task Force will hold a joint Plenary meeting in Strasbourg on 12–13 June to reinforce the global fight against illicit finance. Chaired by FATF President Elisa de Anda Madrazo and MONEYVAL Chair Nicola Mucciolo, the meeting will bring together the FATF Global Network’s members from more than 200 countries and international organisations, with a focus on strengthening coordinated responses to emerging illicit finance threats and supporting implementation of risk-based and inclusive anti-financial crime measures. Chairs of FATF-Style Regional Bodies will then meet on 14 June for a high-level annual session aimed at building partnerships and exchanging knowledge across the Global Network.
