The Rwanda Capital Markets Authority held a consultative meeting with licensed investment managers to agree on priority actions to support a stronger asset management industry and a deeper capital market. Discussions covered investment management practices, market conduct, and targeted regulatory and operational improvements aimed at strengthening service quality and enhancing investor protection. The Acting Chief Executive Officer, Karekezi Ngabonziza, positioned structured engagement with licensed operators as part of the authority’s supervisory approach, anchored in transparency, integrity, and accountability. The authority also highlighted the role of professional asset management in mobilising savings into productive investment and diversifying investment across listed equities, government and corporate bonds, and collective investment schemes.
