The Central Bank of Taiwan reported that actual liquid reserve assets totaled TWD 12,834.8 billion in July 2026, down TWD 156.1 billion from the previous month. Liabilities subject to liquid reserve requirements stood at TWD 55,354.9 billion, resulting in required reserves of TWD 5,535.5 billion under the 10% statutory minimum ratio. Central bank certificates of deposit were the largest reserve asset category at TWD 5,261.7 billion, or 41% of the total, followed by government bonds at TWD 2,368.6 billion. Re-deposits by financial institutions at designated banks totaled TWD 1,040.4 billion.
