Argentina’s Securities Commission (CNV) president Roberto E. Silva closed the AMBA Payments Media congress with a presentation on “regulation in a dynamic market”, centred on the CNV’s recently issued regulatory frameworks for tokenization and for Virtual Asset Service Providers (PSAVs). Silva described the path and challenges involved in securing approval for what he characterised as an innovative regional framework, and positioned the tokenization and PSAV regimes as part of a broader capital markets development agenda. He highlighted that the Tokenization Regime enables the digital representation of negotiable securities using blockchain technology, with stated aims including greater transparency, efficiency and financial integration.
