The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has published a public consultation on a draft Financial Services (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill that would amend existing legislation to enhance the Island’s regulatory framework and support alignment with international standards. The draft Bill proposes revisions across the Collective Investment Schemes Act 2008, Designated Businesses (Registration and Oversight) Act 2015, Financial Services Act 2008 and Insurance Act 2008. The Authority frames the amendments as strengthening its ability to protect consumers, reduce financial crime and maintain confidence in the finance sector through effective regulation, while modernising aspects of the legislative framework to support proportionate supervision and more efficient use of regulatory resources. The consultation is open for written submissions until 8 August 2025.
