Uruguay’s National Internal Audit Office has launched 2026 calculators that allow entities and their advisers to estimate potential penalties for failing to meet statutory reporting obligations concerning equity holders, ownership holders and beneficial owners. The tools cover obligations under Laws No. 18,930 and No. 19,484 and are intended to support compliance and the regularization of outstanding disclosures. Calculations account for factors including the entity’s type and economic size, applicable deadlines, the reporting date and, where relevant, ownership percentages or the proportion of equity holders or beneficial owners reported as unknown. The calculators cover various companies and legal structures, including simplified joint stock companies, and are also intended for administrators, representatives, accountants, notaries and lawyers. Results are indicative, depend on user-provided data and do not constitute an opinion or determination by the National Internal Audit Office.
