The National Bank of Serbia reported that it has implemented new technological solutions across its payment systems and completed a major modernisation of the DinaCard system to improve the security, interoperability and efficiency of payment transactions in Serbia. The upgrade puts into operation a new high-performance DinaCard Switch for more stable and faster transaction processing, DinaCard Secure aligned with EMVCo standards to enable strong customer authentication (SCA) for e-commerce, and a DinaCard Directory Server and Access Control Server to support advanced authentication and participation in global 3D Secure standards. It also introduces a new Dispute Management solution intended to streamline the resolution of disputed transactions and improve transparency and communication between participants. With these components in place, banks in Serbia can issue Dina payment cards with full support for secure transactions in line with the latest global electronic security and user protection standards. The National Bank of Serbia said it will continue developing the domestic card scheme and payment systems to strengthen the security, availability and sovereignty of the payment infrastructure, with a focus on innovation and international interoperability.
