The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has published estimates of core inflation and services inflation for July 2025, based on official consumer price index data and relevant weights. It estimated annual core inflation for the first seven months of 2025 at 4.32% and annual growth in average consumer prices in the services sector at 4.80%. The estimates indicate increased inflation pressures in July in services prices and other price categories included in the core inflation calculation. The official-statistics-based core inflation estimate is close to the bank’s June core inflation nowcast, which used limited official data and produced a model-based estimate for the first seven months that was 23 basis points lower than the current estimate; the bank noted that persistently lower model estimates may point to a slight underestimation of the effects of nominal wage growth on core and services inflation.
