The Croatian Parliament, on the government’s proposal, has relieved Ante Žigman of his duties as president of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency after he requested to step down in light of his appointment as governor of the Croatian National Bank. Until a new president is appointed, the Hanfa Board will continue operating in its current composition with Deputy President Anamarija Staničić and board members Jurica Jednačak, Antun Palarić and Martina Verić. Žigman served as head of Hanfa for more than eight years, with a first term from February 2018 to February 2024 and a second term from February 2024 to June 2026. Hanfa said its board held 357 sessions and adopted 7,642 decisions during his two terms. Any further decisions by the relevant authorities on changes to the board’s composition will be communicated separately.
