The National Bank of Moldova announced the launch of “FinanciarELE – the female leadership community” during Global Money Week, positioning it as a platform to support women in the Republic of Moldova in building financial literacy and leadership capabilities and to encourage careers in the financial and banking sector. The initiative is designed to provide an educational and professional framework, including mentoring and training workshops delivered by banking and finance experts, interactive sessions with senior leaders from international organisations, and professional networking and career-development opportunities. It targets high school and university students, employed women seeking to advance professionally, and women entrepreneurs or those in career transition. The official launch session is scheduled for 19 March 2025 at 14:00 at the GLIA Hub hall of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, with participation from National Bank Governor Anca Dragu, IMF Resident Representative in Moldova Svetlana Cerović, and the EU Delegation’s Head of Cooperation Section Magdalena Mueller-Uri.
