The People's Bank of China reported that Deputy Governor Zou Lan attended the 30th Governors' Meeting of the Executives' Meeting of East Asia-Pacific Central Banks (EMEAP) on 21–22 July and called for member central banks to further strengthen cooperation to support regional financial stability. The meeting exchanged views on global and regional economic and financial conditions, challenges from geo-economic fragmentation, changes in inflation dynamics and monetary policy frameworks, and discussed the future reform and development of EMEAP’s mechanisms. Zou also outlined China’s economic and financial conditions and its macroeconomic policy settings.
