The Central Bank of Poland published its December 2025 core inflation indicators, showing consumer price inflation of 2.4% year on year and inflation excluding food and energy of 2.7%. Across the four core measures, inflation excluding administered prices eased to 1.8% year on year from 2.0% in November, inflation excluding the most volatile prices held at 3.1%, and the 15% trimmed mean remained at 2.4%. The central bank produces these indices monthly to help distinguish underlying inflation trends from short-lived or externally driven price changes, noting that the food-and-energy-excluded measure is commonly used because it is more responsive to monetary policy than food and energy components.
