The Parliament of Montenegro adopted key documents submitted by the Montenegro Capital Market Authority, approving its 2023 annual report on the Authority’s work and capital market developments, the authorised auditor’s report on the Authority’s 2023 financial operations, and the proposed 2025 financial plan and work plan. The 2023 annual report outlines activities aimed at strengthening the regulatory framework, investor protection and confidence in the capital market, including implementing new legal solutions, international cooperation and process digitalisation to align with European standards. The 2025 plan sets priorities including further alignment with European Union directives and international practice, development of new capital market instruments to expand financing options, enhanced supervisory capacity, increased financial literacy initiatives, and further transparency and digitalisation within the Authority.
