The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates and the Central Bank of Syria have signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a framework for bilateral financial and technical cooperation. The agreement supports institutional capacity building, technical expertise and information exchange on regulatory frameworks. Cooperation will cover monetary policy, payment systems, cash management and financial technology, as well as banking supervision, licensing, enforcement, compliance and consumer protection. The framework also encompasses climate risk and sustainable finance, financial inclusion and literacy, credit information systems, reporting and risk management.
